From 1-3 November 2018, members of the non/fictionLab presented at NonfictioNOW in Phoenix, Arizona.
The NonfictioNOW Conference is a regular gathering of over 400 nonfiction writers, teachers, and students from around the world in an effort to explore the past, present, and future of nonfiction. Panels and readings highlight the myriad forms of nonfiction, from the video essay and graphic essays, to the memoir, lyric essay, and literary journalism.
non/fictionLab and RMIT are key partners of NonfictioNOW. Lab Co-Director David Carlin opened the conference with Nicole Walker, and the three day program featured panels and performances presented by Lab members Francesca Rendle-Short, Wil Polson, Smiljana Glisovic, Peta Murray, Jessica L. Wilkinson, Sreedhevi Iyer, Tresa LeClerc, Sophie Langley, Stephanie Milsom, Kim Munro and Stayci Taylor.
Books by Lab members were available at RMIT’s table at the book fair, and the Diary Bingo Karaoke, presented in partnership with RMIT, was a great success!
